Chess- Super Saturday! December 9th

CHESS - Super Saturday is December 9th!

Some of our chess kids - especially the younger ones - may need additional training to keep pace with our lessons.  How about a fun, one-day class about the basics of chess, taught by the Grandfather of Wisconsin Chess, Bob Patterson Sumwaldt??   The WSCF is holding a special SUPER SATURDAY at McKinley Elementary School in Wauwatosa on December 9th. Students will learn the basics of chess including beginning strategy, the beginning mating patterns, and other basic rules and practices of chess. Students will participate in a 4 round Swiss style tournament. All students will receive a medal and the top 3 players will receive trophies. Participants must be in grades 2 - 8 and are asked to bring a lunch, snack, and water bottle.
